| High School Heroes is a philanthropic leadership program that awards 7 student scholarships, made possible by The Grainger Foundation. The top three fundraisers will earn scholarships of $5,000, $2,000 and $1,000, respectively. Four other outstanding fundraisers will earn $500 scholarships. Lindsey Stever
Lindsey completed our Heroes program in 2009 during her senior year of high school. After winning the scholarship and title, she went on to receive a full academic scholarship to Campbell University, using this experience as a corner stone in her community and philanthropic activities.

Taylor Waters
Taylor completed our Heroes program in 2010 during her junior year of high school. She raised $3,000 for the Red Cross and continued to volunteer after the program. She used these activities as the backbone of her college applications and received a full academic scholarship to East Carolina University. |

| So What is High School Heroes? |
- Heroes fundraise through the end of March (which is Red Cross Month) in any way they would like – information packets and one-on-one planning sessions are provided to each candidate.
- Mentors are integral to your success! As a Hero, each candidate will be partnered with a graduated mentor and a successful business leader to support your campaign!
- High School Heroes runs from January 2012 – March 2012. An awards ceremony will be held in April to celebrate all the success of our Heroes!
