Triangle Red Cross News

Erie Insurance made a donation to the Triangle Red Cross to aid immediate relief efforts in response to last weekend’s deadly tornadoes. The monetary gift will help support ongoing disaster assistance in the Triangle.

“Erie Insurance was one of the first companies to contribute to the Red Cross after last weekend’s devastating weather,” said Barry Porter, Regional Executive for the American Red Cross.  “In the wake of disasters like this, it’s crucial to have the support of corporate partners like Erie Insurance.  We’re grateful to Erie for their quick response and generous donation.”

“Erie’s donation will assist the Red Cross in helping those affected by the severe weather by providing temporary lodging, food, clothing and other basic essentials,” added Porter.

“Erie Insurance has a long history of partnering with the Red Cross and we appreciate all of their efforts in helping the Triangle community recover from the terrible destruction,” said Kristopher Marrion, Erie Insurance Raleigh Branch Manager.  “Our thoughts are with all those affected by the devastating storms.”

The American Red Cross responds to disasters across the country and depends on donations from companies and individuals so it can quickly respond to emergencies.  For more information on how to donate or volunteer, go to www.redcross.org.
